Pierre Herme's Sable Viennois



Chinese New Year is coming .... So, mom is asking me to make some cookie for all relative as present stuff. She is sick of buying all those cookie from the street vendor. Reason? Some of them are selling it really expensive and nothing so special. and another reason? Because Chilie is home! make use of my time n skill I guess. Hahaha... :p  After some searching in the internet , I found a recipe from Pierre Herme. Sable Viennois. Hmmm..... Gonna give it a try... It really came out surprisingly DELICIOUS! Omg.. you have to try this.


Pierre Herme's Sable Viennois

Ingredients:
95g               Unsalted Butter, soften
1g                 Salt
1/8 tsp          Vanilla paste
40g               Icing Sugar
15g               Egg White
115g             Plain flour 


Method:
1. Preheat oven to 180C.
2. 
In a mixing bowl, whisk butter until creamy.
3.
Add Icing sugar and salt to butter and continue to whisk until light and creamy.
4. 
Whisk in egg white until it is well combined.
5.  
Add in sifted flour and mix until well combined.
6. 
Spoon dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
7. Pipe circles on to a prepared pan.
8. Bake cookies at 180C for 10-12 mins.

9. Transfer and cool on a wire rack. Then store in a airtight container.

 P/S: For chocolate version, swap 10-15g of plain flour to cocoa powder.

So there you go, need some packing n labeling then it's ready for Chinese New Year!! Hooray!! Em... Mom, How many relative we have? How many boxes u need? 30 boxes maybe.. O.O  Again?! Oook... I'm off to ingredient shopping now! Bye...
